Relationship Property

Relationship property agreements enable you and your partner to determine how you will share your assets.

Whether you are entering into a new relationship, making arrangements for a current relationship or dealing with a former partner, you may need to put a Relationship Property Agreement into place.

Without a Relationship Property Agreement the general rule is that all property and assets obtained during the course of the relationship will be divided evenly.  Assets that you had prior to the relationship may also have to be divided equally.

We can help you determine which assets fall under ‘relationship property’ and how an agreement could change that status.
